Streamlight 88031 Protac 2L Tactcal Flashlight Review

If you are looking for a bright, durable light, for less than $50. Look no further than the Streamlight 88031 Protac 2L.

While not the brightest tactical flashlight available, the Protac 2L produces a respectable output of 180 lumens and can be set to shine lower output of 10 lumens for power conservation. In addition the two variable intensity modes the Protac contains a handy strobe light mode.

The switching system allows users to easily toggle between the desired intensity or strobe modes via the tail switch. Press once to activate the high beam, press twice in quick succession for the strobe, or quickly click the switch three times to enable the low output beam. The tail cap switch can also be partially depressed to momentarily activate the light and turn off when the button is released.

Weighing in at less than 3 ounces and a length shorter than 5 inches, the the Protac is compact and lightweight. The rugged metal casing gives it a solid feel that can shake off drops and impacts, the casing also makes it waterproof to depths of a meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
